From Cherish Memories
Volume 1 Issue
Product Profile: by Dotty Gambold

Rubber stamps are one of the great crafting tools, but the lack of seeing exactly where you're stamping and the space that all those wooden blocks take up puts the stamper at a disadvantage.

Here's a crafty solution. New Stamp On The Block art stamps are clear / see-through self-stick polymer stamps that stick without the use of glue, cling vinyl or other adhesives. They love smooth surfaces and are happiest when "hugging" them! Just peel and apply to any smooth surface; metal, varnished wood, plastic, glass.

But to use them at their full advantage, stick them to a clear acrylic block to benefit from their see-through properties. In this way, they will help guide you when aligning type or designs that intertwine. You'll know exactly where your stamp is going to print without the guesswork of conventional stamps. Because this polymer is deeply etched, no cushioning is needed. When you are done, simply rinse the image with tap water, peel the image off of the acrylic and store the polymer images.

When not in use, the stamps can be stored on glossy cardstock in a 3-ring binder. Hundreds of stamp images can fit into one binder and they can be organized easily by season, theme, alphabet or usage. Only a few acrylic bases in a variety of sizes are needed to complete your collection. When ready to stamp again, just peel the image from the glossy cardstock and stick it onto an acrylic block. Peel and Stick - how simple is that?!

I had purchased an alphabet set at a recent rubber stamp convention. It was an incredible deal -1 Uppercase, Lowercase, Numbers and Punctuation stamps plus a crystal clear acrylic block, all for under $25.00. One of my main concerns was what if they got dirt, lint, dust, etc and would no longer stick to the acrylic? Chris smiled and said, "Rinse them in tap water. The polymer that they are made from will rinse clean and its 'peel & stick' properties will be restored.

I tried the alphabet set on a few scrapbook pages as page titles. I am still impressed with how convenient these are. I could easily see thru the acrylic and the polymer, so my placement was right where I wanted it. To clean up I stamped onto a wet paper towel. Peeling off the letters and placing the next was no hassle. I can see that these alphabet stamps will get plenty of use.

Browsing through the catalog I can appreciate the diversity of designs. With over 600 images there really IS something for everyone. Designs include Whimsical, Victorian, Bold and Seasonal, with 11 different Styles of alphabets that will appeal to every taste.

We believe the future of Stamping is clear. New Stamp On The Block art stamps will improve and change the way people stamp while providing them with innovative and refreshing artwork. Our stamps will let stampers do things previously unobtainable from conventional rubber stamps and their unique properties are an obvious improvement over them.

"I'd just like to add my testimonial - I received my stamps, had to try them out right away, I love how they cling so well to the acrylic block "without" using cling vinyl! I also love how they also cling to the glossy cardstock. What a wonderful new product! The stamps were very easy to clean, and when stamping I love being able to see through the stamp and the acrylic block to stamp exactly where I wanted to. I'll be ordering again real soon, just have to get more of these neat stamps!"

"I purchased a variety of your stamps a couple of weeks ago for card making purposes.I will never go back to traditional rubber stamps! I liked the see through blocks, but the detail of the stamps was what impressed me the most. Another plus - I found the slightly tacky surface of the stamp to be a big help ensuring a clearly inked image.
Thanks again for a great product. I am looking forward to new designs."
